Our Founders
Global Freedom Mission was founded by Chris Tolliver and Shaista Tolliver. Their shared work brings together Christian faith, humanitarian service, education, relationships in Pakistan, and a commitment to helping people move toward greater freedom, dignity, and opportunity.

For Chris and Shaista, Global Freedom Mission is deeply personal. Their connection to Pakistan is built through family, faith, relationships, ministry, and direct involvement with people and communities. Together, they help connect supporters and partners in the United States with a trusted network of people working on the ground in Pakistan.
Chris Tolliver
President & Co-Founder
Chris helps lead Global Freedom Mission’s overall vision, humanitarian strategy, partnerships, fundraising, education initiatives, ministry, and long-term development efforts. His work in Pakistan and relationships with communities there have shaped GFM’s approach: respond to immediate needs while continuing to build practical pathways toward education, livelihoods, opportunity, and greater long-term stability.
Shaista Tolliver
Co-Founder & Pakistan Communications Bridge
Originally from Pakistan, Shaista brings firsthand cultural understanding, language skills, and strong relationships to GFM’s work. She helps bridge communication between the United States and Pakistan through coordination and translation, keeping GFM closely connected to the people and communities it serves.

Global Freedom Mission is bigger than its founders. The work is supported by family, team members in Pakistan, ministry relationships, local connections, supporters, and others who contribute to humanitarian coordination, purchasing and distribution, community relationships, translation, logistics, field communication, documentation, and ministry support.
GFM’s work is supported by people and relationships in both the United States and Pakistan. We share team information publicly when it is useful, appropriate, and safe to do so.
